Rector:
Mother Paula Durren received her Master’s of Divinity from Seabury Western Theological Seminary in Evanston , Illinois in 2002. Mtr. Paula also has a Master’s in Counseling from Indiana University and practiced as a therapist for over 20 years. Her special interests lie in the fields of Benedictine and Celtic spirituality. She has been on pilgrimage to Glendalough , Ireland , Scotland and England . Mtr. Paula and her husband Michael were 2008 recipients of the Virginia Theological Seminary Small Church Collegium, a project funded by the “Making Connections” initiative of the Lilly Endowment Foundation.
Children’s Formation Leader:
Marilee Roth is certified as a level 1, 2, and 3 Formation Leader by the Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and has received training through Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Children’s Formation Program as well as Journey to Adulthood Youth Program through the Diocese. Marilee has been a member of the Church of the Mediator since 1968 and has served in the youth and children ministries at the parish for 15 years, as well as serving previously as Clerk of the Vestry and Parish Treasurer. Marilee was raised in New Buffalo and now lives in Bridgman with her husband, Allen, and children Robert and Rebecca.
Youth Coordinator:
Jenna Francis has been involved with youth groups at several different churches, as well as Episcopal Youth Camp. She is a middle school science teacher in St. Joseph and the director of the Upton Planetarium. Jenna lives in St. Joseph with her husband, John, and two children, Jack and Ruby.
